Rhonda's Story

Rhonda ShearSince 2003, celebrity turned designer Rhonda Shear has been providing intimates solutions for women of all shapes and ages around the world. Since the launch of her first collection, she has expanded the Rhonda Shear line to include a broad assortment of bras, panties, sleepwear, shapewear, lingerie, and apparel. This line is built for comfort, affordability, and versatility. Rhonda's goal is to help women embrace the skin they're in by creating flattering silhouettes for all body types and by using the latest technology and fabrications available. That's right, technology in intimates... who knew? Designing with new fabrics and techniques can sometimes mean discovering that bras can be comfortable after all... After selling the Ahh Bra and other comfortable intimate styles on HSN since 2004, Rhonda and her husband/business partner Van Fagan took a leap and decided to make a little infomercial. Rhonda Shear's seamless Ahh Bra has since opened up a whole new category of comfort and leisure bras in the intimates industry by selling millions of units worldwide.

Rhonda ShearNever one to stop innovating, Rhonda has continued to spread her entrepreneurial wings by creating new lines under her own umbrella, helping design and manufacture other celebrity lines, and even recently wrote her first book,Up All Night.Rhonda now delights in sharing her experiences and knowledge, encouraging women to find happiness and confidence in more than just their underwear drawers. In her autobiographical debut Rhonda shares the journey that transformed her from New Orleans beauty queen to political somebody, from Hollywood starlet to stand-up comedy mold-breaker, from internationally beloved designer to author/dog mom... and beyond. Her eclectic collection of life experiences has inspired each new endeavor and pushed her to succeed against odds again and again.

Did you know that almost 80% of women do not know their correct bra size?

A woman's body shape and size will continue to change throughout her life, and it is important to periodically be fitted. Knowing your size in intimate apparel can be especially important as wearing the wrong size or style for your unique shape can lead to unflattering looks and discomfort.

Shopping for undergarments is about as personal as shopping gets, and everyone has their own personal preference for comfort and compression. When searching for the perfect bra keep in mind that there are many different styles to choose from and some will work better for you than others, even in the same size, so when possible try on several styles in your size to see what works best. In my Ahh styles for example, I can wear anywhere from a Medium to XL comfortably. Find your Ahh Moment by finding what makes you comfortable!

This chart is a great starting point on your way to that Ahh Moment!

How to find the correct size for you

Using a soft measuring tape measure the following as instructed:
  • Bust Measure: Measure around the fullest point of your bust (we recommend doing this without a bra, or with an unpadded bra for the most accurate measure).
  • Waist Measure: Measure at the natural waistline; just under your ribcage.
  • Hip Measure: Measure around the fullest point of your hips and seat.
  • Bra Measure: Start by measuring tightly directly under your bust, take this number and add 3, this gives you the size (for example if you were to measure 33 around, you would be a 36). Then measure from the center or fullest part of the breast down to under the bust. Each inch is equal to one cup size (A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, DD=5, DDD=6, etc; for example, if you measure 3 from the center of the bust, the cup size would be C). Combine these two aspects for your basic bra size in this case 36C.
